Hillside House
A sustainable new build for minimalist clients — sleek surfaces balanced by warm, organic Texas materials.
About this project
These clients have a deep appreciation for quality alongside a minimalist lifestyle and clean-lined aesthetic. Their brief called for an open-concept layout with tall ceilings that reflect the organic nature of their surroundings while letting the views and architecture take center stage.
In the common areas, sleek surfaces are balanced with warm textures — a limestone entry, a cedar fireplace wall, and a lively stone-and-wood quartzite island offset by calm grey and neutral Texas limestone. Simple yet dramatic fixtures from Ralph Lauren and Hubbardton Forge anchor the open plan.
Sustainability guided the build, with low-VOC paint and green strategies used wherever possible. Realized with Geschke Group Architecture and Enve Builders.
